I have placed my order and 40 Indians will be ready by the end of the year.

Hehehe, good on you. I think on the whole, Indians were allied to the Redcoats during the AWI, so welcome aboard. Twisted Evil

Package arrived yesterday, very nice castings!

Also purchased 28mm round washers (couldn't find 30mm ones), and will have them based in quick time. Most figures are separate legs, body and head and there's plenty of extras - powder horns and satchels (well they look like handbags Very Happy). Also have 2 Osprey books arriving from Book Depository in the next week - so painting can then also begin.

We will fight for the Germans... *cough* I mean British.

I have based, primed and started painting these guys (undercoating in white for the first time in years and trying for the first time ever the dipping method are all going to be part of an interesting experiment...).

Are we still thinking December for a game? I'll have x40 Indians - in probably 2 units of 20 (some aren't armed with rifles).

I think December should be good for a game. I'll be well and truly keen for a game by then as I'm overseas until the week before.

My Brits will be there.

Any other takers? Lon with new Hessians? Any Colonials to take us on?

The meet is now on Saturday 13th December - doesn't affect me, does it affect others though?

Won't affect me - I'll be there.

What is everyone bringing? It might be useful to know in order to 'rough out' a scenario beforehand?

For me, it'll be:
4 battalions of line redcoats,
1 of grenadiers,
1 of highlanders,
4 artillery batteries, and
a cavalry unit.

Plus whatever skirmishers and / or militia I can paint up in the week after I get back home before the meet!

Well - the painting is coming along (wouldn't be a LoA meet if I wasn't scrambling to finish in time!).
I'll be bringing 2 battalions of Hessians - 1 of Grens and 1 of Line.
I was hoping to bring some arty as well, but after several months of having them, I've only now realised that they forgot to include artillerymen in the pack! Mad Argh!
Hopefully the guys at S&S are going to do a "proper" range of AWI Hessians as the figs aren't quite right. I have to say also that they're certainly not up to the very nice standard of the Brits and Continentals. I'm just glad that the dip hides most of the terrible sculpting Laughing
See you on Sat!

Unfortunately I've just signed for a place and I'll be moving over the weekend instead of gaming, drinking and eating at Tivoli.

My apologies, I hope someone is able to take photos!

Well, as it turns out I was going to recommend postponing anyway. Our primary Continental player (and mini-supplier!), Ray, is unable to make it on Saturday as well.

Which pretty much means no foes for the redcoats and Hessians to fight. So how about we postpone to early next year sometime?

No probs - it'll maybe give me a chance to organise some crew for my gun (and maybe my fusiliers).
Not sure which meeting though: Jan and Feb are possibly booked. I'm sure we'll hash something out though.
See you all in the new year. Since my day is now free I'll do some Xmas shopping...
Merry Xmas!

Also, I can't make the March or April meet... can we pencil in May for a game?!
